Mexican choreographer and artistic director of Moving Borders. He made his dance studies at Centro de Investigación Coreografica (C.I.CO) in Mexico and the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, Germany.
He began his career with the National Folk Dance Company of Mexico in 1993, during his stay in this company was a soloist dancer. Later developed his career as a dancer, choreographer and teacher of contemporary dance and folkloric dances of Mexico.
His choreographic work, marked by the mixture of languages between the contemporary and folk has been internationally recognized with national and international awards. His choreography has been presented in festivals in Mexico, Germany, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Poland, Spain, Italy, United States, Cuba and Colombia.
In 2014 won the first place and the audience price of 9th International Choreography Competition “No Ballet”, Germany; first place of INBA-UAM Concurso de Creación Coreográfica Contemporánea 2010-2011 in México; second place for his choreography “Life Steps” in the International Competition for Contemporary Choreography of the Humarts Foundation in Sofia, Bulgaria and the first place in the international Internet SideBySide-net dance-festival, 2007, Germany.
He currently directs Moving Borders and iN – Muestra de Arte Escenico Mexico (CAMP-IN) and continue his work to promote Mexican folkloric dance in Europe.
